In accordance with the EU Artificial Intelligence Act (Regulation 2024/1689), we provide the following transparency information about AI systems used on this website.

1. AI Systems in Use

BookingsCyprus.com uses the following AI-powered features:

a) AI Voice Booking Assistant

  • Provider: Retell AI
  • Purpose: Answering questions about the apartments, resort amenities, location, pricing, and the booking process via voice conversation
  • Languages: English, Polish, Russian, Chinese
  • How it works: When you click the call button, you are connected to an AI voice agent that can answer questions in real time using pre-configured information about the property

b) AI Chat Widget

  • Provider: Retell AI
  • Purpose: Text-based chat for the same informational purposes as the voice assistant
  • How it works: A chat window in the bottom corner of the page connects you to an AI agent that responds to typed questions

2. Risk Classification

Under the EU AI Act, these AI systems are classified as minimal risk (Title IV — transparency obligations). They are informational chatbots and voice assistants that:

  • Do not make automated decisions affecting individuals’ rights
  • Do not process biometric data
  • Do not perform profiling or scoring
  • Do not operate in any high-risk category listed in Annex III of the AI Act

3. Transparency Notice

When interacting with our voice or chat assistant, please be aware that:

  • You are interacting with an AI system, not a human.
  • The AI provides general information based on pre-configured data about the property.
  • The AI cannot check live availability, confirm bookings, or process payments.
  • AI responses are not legally binding. Only written confirmation from the property owner constitutes a commitment.
  • The AI may occasionally produce inaccurate or incomplete information.

4. Data Processing by AI Systems

  • Voice conversations are processed in real time by Retell AI to generate responses. We do not store voice recordings on our servers.
  • Chat messages are processed in real time. We do not store chat transcripts on our servers.
  • No personal data entered during AI interactions is used for training AI models.

5. Human Oversight

  • The AI assistant operates within strict topic boundaries — it only answers questions about the apartments, the resort, Northern Cyprus, and the booking process.
  • All booking requests must go through the website form or WhatsApp, where they are reviewed by a human.
  • The property owner maintains full control over the information provided to the AI system.

6. Your Rights

  • You are never required to use the AI assistant. All information is also available on the website itself.
